French ski resorts and their many apartments on short-term rental contracts are seeing red.
Spared for a time, they are finally concerned by the obligations of the climate law relating to energy sieves.
“Initially, the climate law provided that short-term rentals, less than 120 days, were not affected by the obligation to renovate energy strainers,
indicates Pascale Boyer, president of the National Association of Mountain Elected Officials (Anem) .
But, in August 2022, the government integrated them into this process, under penalty of not being able to put these goods on the market.
In concrete terms, since January 1, 2023, accommodation with a very poor energy performance diagnosis (EPD), i.e. G+++ (on a scale from A to G), will be prohibited from being rented.
From January 1, 2025 will be affected all those classified G, then will come the turn of those rated F from January 1, 2028 and E in January 2034.
