Two people were killed and a third was seriously injured on Monday January 23 at a youth center in Des Moines, in the US state of Iowa (central), police said.
After an emergency call, law enforcement who attended the 'Starts Right Here' facility, a program to help troubled youth, found three people with gunshot wounds, two of them

“These two people, two students, are dead (...).
The third person, who is employed by the facility, is in serious condition,”
Paul Parizek, a Des Moines police spokesman, told reporters.
The police were not yet able to specify the exact age of the two victims.
“I don't know if they are adults or (…) minor teenagers
,” said Paul Parizek.

Based on witness descriptions, police stopped a vehicle and detained
"three potential suspects"

The investigation is continuing, she said in a statement.
Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds said she was

by the shooting.
These two deaths come after the death Saturday evening of 11 people in California, shot dead by a septuagenarian of Asian origin during the Chinese New Year festivities.
