The culture supervisor in Homs Central Prison, Eng. Qamar Sharbak, indicated in a statement to SANA reporter that the professional courses started at the beginning of this year with a photography course, during which the inmates were introduced to the history of photography, the types of lenses and their uses, how to hold the camera properly, and explained the most important principles of photography to obtain the image with quality and accuracy. Sharbak pointed out that the course was characterized by a positive atmosphere and enthusiasm in practical application, indicating that photography was chosen, as it is an art that documents beauty and to develop the professional aspect of the inmates, and to use the time of their stay in prison to learn the details of the professions they practice after their release, pointing out that preparation is taking place during a plan.
