Many Israelis are already looking for their next vacation destination and many of them are interested in doing it already during the upcoming Passover holiday.
The price comparison website Travelist has identified an increase of about 20% in searches for Passover vacations with the beginning of 2023 - comparing the end of December 2022 to the beginning of January 2023. The data also shows: about 85% are interested in vacationing in the coming Passover abroad and about 15% are looking for a vacation in Israel.
The demand during Pesach is very high, so it is recommended to check nearby dates, which can significantly reduce the prices of vacations overseas.
For most Israelis, according to a Travelist survey, these are the most requested destinations for Passover: London, Dubai, Paris, Bucharest, Vienna, Athens, Bangkok, Madrid and New York.
47% plan a trip as a couple, 20% a family trip, 20% will fly alone and 13% in groups.

In the process of planning their vacation, Israelis tend to book flights to popular destinations such as London, Dubai and Bangkok and vacation packages to "belly" destinations such as Batumi or Rhodes.
In the coming Passover, Travellist recognizes that the vacation time has been extended from 4 nights for an average vacation to 6 nights on average when traveling during Passover.
In an attempt to lower the costs of the vacation, many choose to be a little more flexible in the dates they are looking for, which raises the issue - is it more profitable to fly on the Seder night, before it, or on the holiday?
A flight before Hol Moed was found to be cheaper in the desired destinations than a flight on Hol Moed or on Seder night, with a difference of up to 192% in the price of a flight to Athens.
The lowest gap of 11% is in Paris.
The differences in prices between a flight on the holiday and a flight on Seder night are relatively marginal in most destinations, but Bangkok records the highest difference between them with a 44% difference.

The distribution of vacation package prices shows a similar situation, according to which a vacation package before Seder night will also be the most profitable, with a difference of up to 103% in price when traveling to Sharm el-Sheikh before Seder night compared to traveling during Seder night.
Sharm also records the highest difference in price between Seder night and Hol HaMoed: 48%.
The lowest difference in prices between the different options is for Istanbul with a 7% difference.
