About three weeks ago, Assig's daughter, Shay, said that it was a terrible family tragedy.
"My father was murdered by his brother-in-law," she cried.
"My uncle murdered my mother's brother in cold blood. You see him in the video, everyone saw that it was him, but I wasn't able to see the video. My father got out of the taxi and my uncle shot him. The police are looking for him."
She also told about her father that he was a lieutenant colonel in the army and that he left behind three children and five grandchildren.
"He was an honest man. My father only did good and he deserves respect. He fought in all of Israel's wars and contributed to everyone. The world is shaking. This is a man who had no evil in him, intelligent, he made sure to make a living with dignity and he was my whole world. I am divorced and without him I would not have Nothing. It's a terrible tragedy. I'm holding the whole family. I'm broken."

The 60-year-old Essig was already almost a virgin.
