on Tuesday morning.
Already known to the police, this 36-year-old former soldier had fled to Italy at the end of last week, after having escaped the Raid agents who came to arrest him at his home in Menton.
A short-lived escape since he finally surrendered early Friday afternoon to the agents of the Urban Security of Menton.
Thursday, January 19, in the early evening, the police services of Menton had been called for alleged acts of domestic violence.
The officers then learned that the suspect may have several weapons in his home.
To the police, the suspect's wife had specified that her husband was a former alpine hunter and that he had been on foreign operations several times, particularly in Afghanistan.
The Nice branch of the national police intervention group, the Raid, was immediately called upon.

On the spot, the elite men had drawn a blank, the suspect having already set sail.
Inside the home, the police had discovered only one weapon, a rifle.
A report was issued shortly thereafter.
Friday morning, the Sûreté investigators had managed to communicate with the fugitive, the latter confirming his presence on Italian soil.
By dint of negotiations, the police had obtained that he regain the territory.
And it was when he got off the train, at Menton station, that he was arrested at the start of the afternoon and placed in police custody.
On him, the police had not found any weapon.
According to a police source, the couple argued violently and the suspect punched and dragged his partner to the ground.
The Nice prosecutor, Xavier Bonhomme, also confirms that a judicial investigation has been opened.
It is now up to an investigating magistrate to continue the investigations.
