A report by an American think tank revealed that the US military-industrial base is not ready to wage any war against any superpower like China, as depots of long-range and precision-guided munitions will run out in less than a week.
Today, The Wall Street Journal published a report prepared by the Center for Strategic and International Studies, in which it warned that the huge quantities of weapons and ammunition that the United States sent to Ukraine had exhausted the Pentagon’s stocks, and showed that the American defense industry could not rush into a major war, and Seth Jones, Senior Vice President, wrote And the director of the International Security Program at the Center: “The war in Ukraine shows that a war for the American army against any major powers will turn into a long-term conflict and requires a strong defense industry capable of producing enough ammunition and other weapons systems to withstand this war.” It is too late for the US war industry to compensate for the huge loss in its stockpile to face any urgent major challenges.
The report sheds light on the huge number of weapons and ammunition sent by Washington to Ukraine and the difficulty of compensating them, which will take years. The research center predicted that a conflict or war with China would deplete US military supplies within a week.
And US sources revealed last week that the Pentagon is withdrawing ammunition and artillery shells from its warehouses and sending them to Ukraine to meet the great shortage and urgent need for Ukraine for artillery shells and ammunition and to fuel the conflict there and obstruct the process of reaching any peaceful solution.
