The town of Dorfen invites you to a New Year's reception for the first time.
Minister Scharf praised the event as a "strong symbol of solidarity".
Dorfen – once again a premiere in Dorfen’s Jakobmayer Hall – this time not of a cultural, but of a social nature: the town of Dorfen invited to its first New Year’s reception, over 100 guests came.
"They are all part of our civil society," Mayor Heinz Grundner said in recognition of the guests from politics and volunteer work, from social institutions and the church, as well as trade, crafts and trade.
After short speeches, all the top performers were able to chat in an informal setting over drinks and appetizers from the buffet.
The high school's big band provided the snappy soundtrack for the evening.
Traditionally, the CSU held a New Year's reception on this date, but the Christian Socialists were happy to step down in the anniversary year of 2023.
The city looks good, said Grundner in an interview with our newspaper.
As CSU local chairman and mayor, he will also have a say in the direction in which this tradition will develop.
Nowadays there are many crises to be overcome, "but apart from egoism and particular interests we will succeed," Grundner said with conviction in his speech.
Minister of State Ulrike Scharf also spoke about this, but she confessed: "You really can't hear the K word - namely crisis - anymore." So much is good in our country.
If people like those gathered here stick together and stand together, the current difficulties would be overcome.
"I can't have enough New Year's receptions," said Scharf.
She has just come from such an event in Erlangen and will then continue in Dorfen.
The corona pandemic in particular has taught us how important personal encounters are.

Vice Mayor Ludwig Rudolf spoke about the cultural side of the anniversary year in his short welcoming speech.
The Dorfen production of "Faust" is at the center of the festival year.
"It will be a great pleasure," he said confidently.
