Eil Golan today (Tuesday) came to the defense of Eliav Zohar, the son of Minister Miki Zohar who caused a stir in recent days against the background of his desire to cancel the ministry's support for the events taking place on Shabbat.

"I came across posts on social networks calling for the boycott of the performances and music of Eliav Zohar, the son of Miki Zohar, and my heart just ached," Golan shared with his 997,000 followers in a story he uploaded to Instagram.
From Golan's Instagram,
"Who like me knows how important, challenging and not easy the path of an artist is, and to see a talented young singer and creator who is already being attacked because of such and such statements by his father that are not related to him in any way is simply not perceived in my eyes," added Golan who, as he said, moderates media and public storms .
"I'm not getting into politics for a second," he sought to clarify the purpose of his public support for Zohar, "but I know that music and art and politics should not be mixed," he concluded.
"The truth is that it makes me very sad," Eliav wrote last night after being exposed to the extent and intensity of the anger directed at him due to his family affiliation.
"I am not a politician and I am not related to this world. I just love my father always. Anyone who seeks to hurt my father through me and punish me for his political decisions is his own and I have no interest in reacting to it or referring to it. I live and breathe the world of music that speaks to everyone without Difference and without any barriers."
