Every day, more than ten anti-Semitic incidents are reported around the world, some of which come against the background of the Russia-Ukraine war - this is according to a report today (Tuesday) by the department for the fight against anti-Semitism in the World Zionist Organization.

The report, which is based on local and international reports, research bodies, local police, Jewish communities and more, shows a slowdown in the increase in the number of anti-Semitic incidents, for the first time in a decade - but the picture of the situation remains worrisome.

The report shows that the organizations boycotting Israel have a significant influence in spreading anti-Semitism around the world.

Most of the anti-Semitism incidents this year were characterized by propaganda and vandalism - 39% and 28%, respectively.

Propaganda cases increased by 15% from last year.

They are followed by anti-Semitic incidents of physical violence (14%), verbal (11%) and delegitimization;

Only 1% were characterized by demonstrations.

In the United States, there is an increase in the phenomenon of anti-Semitism, due to the strengthening of the white supremacy organizations and against the leftist organizations.

In recent years, there has been a 61% jump in the number of cases of violence or their planning against Jewish institutions.

One in three students in the United States testified that they experienced anti-Semitism during the school year, of which almost 80% experienced it more than once.

During the year 2022, over 350 anti-Semitic incidents occurred on campuses in the United States, with many of the Israeli students feeling the need to hide their identity or their support for Israel.

In addition, during the year 2022, approximately 165 demonstrations and actions took place at universities and colleges throughout the United States.

In Great Britain, anti-Semitism cases are down 43% compared to the previous year, and stand at 786 cases in the first half of 2022. However, the report shows an increase in anti-Semitism in the British education system - over the past five years, there has been a 173% increase in the amount of anti-Semitic incidents in schools.

Between the years 2021-2022, an increase of close to 30% was observed in the cases of anti-Semitism in educational institutions.

In Germany, a significant decrease in cases of anti-Semitism is also evident.

However, during the months of January-September, 1,555 anti-Semitic incidents were reported to the German Criminal Police, which is an average of five anti-Semitic incidents per day.

Extremist factions that encourage anti-Semitism have also risen in France, and the report shows that about 74% of French Jews have committed anti-Semitic acts - 68% have received derogatory comments, 28% have received threats on social networks, 20% have been verbally threatened and 20% have experienced physical violence.

85% of French Jews believe that anti-Semitism is a widespread phenomenon in the country, and 73% claim that it has increased in the last decade.

37% of the Jews in the country testified that they feel threatened because of their religion, 41% of the Jewish respondents admitted that they avoided displaying religious symbols and about 35% avoided wearing clothes identified as Jewish.

The Russia-Ukraine war that broke out last year is accompanied by anti-Semitic statements towards the Jewish communities in both countries.

There are those who spread conspiracies about Israel's involvement in the war on social networks, and claim that the Jews are "plotting to take over the world" through the war.
