One person was killed and two injured in an earthquake in Nepal on Tuesday (January 24th), a local official told AFP.
The earthquake occurred in the early afternoon, with tremors felt as far away as New Delhi.
The epicenter of this 5.6 magnitude earthquake was located in the Bajura district, a hilly region 400 kilometers west of the capital Kathmandu, according to the United States Institute of Geological Studies (USGS ).
An isolated area
A woman was killed and two others injured, while up to 40 homes were damaged, district chief Pushkar Khadka told AFP, adding that "
the isolation of the area makes it difficult to collect more 'information
'.

In November, six people lost their lives when another 5.6 magnitude earthquake struck Doti district in western Nepal.
