Argentine filmmaker Juan José Campanella, winner of an Oscar for
El secreto de sus ojos
in 2010, told EFE on Tuesday
his joy at the nomination of Argentina, 1985
, by Santiago Mitre, for the Academy Awards edition of Hollywood that will be delivered in March 2023.

is nominated for an Oscar is something very good for everyone,
it makes me very happy
," he said shortly before attending the opening of the fifth Ibero American Film Festival in Miami (IAFFM).
In a brief statement to EFE, Campanella hoped that the production of Mitre, which he defined as
"a good film with a stellar cast"
, will be revived in commercial theaters in Argentina now that it is nominated for an Oscar for best international film.

An Argentine honored in Miami
