Many people make a big mistake when shopping without realizing it.
Cashiers and other customers have been annoyed by this for a long time.
Apparently it's enough for a Rewe team.
Taunusstein/Berlin - An absolute bad habit of many customers has been annoying not only since the beginning of the Corona crisis: Putting deposit receipts in your mouth is an absolute no-go!
Apart from a possible risk of infection - even beyond Corona - it's just disgusting!
That's why supermarkets keep putting up signs.
Now, in December 2022, a corresponding photo is causing a stir, posted on the "Notes of Germany" Instagram page.
According to the information, it was created in Taunusstein near Wiesbaden.
With a high degree of probability in a Rewe branch, the optics indicate that.

A handwritten sign hangs on the deposit machine: "Dear customers, for reasons of hygiene, we ask you not to put the empties receipts in your mouth.
Thank you very much!” Apparently the Rewe team had had enough, and the employees had had enough of constantly picking up sloppy customer receipts.
The reactions are different.
Some feel caught.
“Unfortunately I always do that too”, “I’ve been doing that for years” and “Ok, I’ll stick to it now.
Sorry,” they write.
Another says: "Come on, if you've never resorted to this holding method in desperation with your hands full, throw the first deposit."
Supermarket error "deposit receipt in the mouth" causes trouble again and again
A photograph of a comparable sign ended up on the Instagram page “Notes Of Berlin” in 2020.
It read: “For hygienic reasons, please do not put the deposit vouchers in your mouth.
Thank you for your understanding."

Also in 2020 many feel addressed.
"Oh misto, I did that a lot so as not to forget them," writes one user.
"Haha I thought I was alone," says another.
And someone else explains: "Me too, but I only realized that now."
The 2020 photo always gets a few jokes: "The freedom to eat is endangered!" It says.
"Don't even touch the touch screen with your tongue?" jokes another.
And then you notice the "problem" with the matter: Anyone who enters a supermarket properly - in 2020, as is well known, still a requirement - with a face mask will not be tempted to put the deposit slip between their lips anyway.
"It's also difficult with the mask in front of your mouth."
Supermarket mistake "deposit receipt in the mouth" - many probably still commit it
"I'm screaming... Every sign a story," a Twitter user captioned another similar photo.
And promptly a person who claims to have worked as a cashier for a long time speaks up.
“I cashed in at Kaiser's in Berlin for several years.
Yes: the token is often put in the mouth;
especially when both hands are needed to rummage through your wallet.
And of course the classic: Licking your fingers to take out individual bills.” A supermarket customer says: “I know it, I've always been disgusted when I've seen something like that.” A shopping list discovered in a Kaufland causes widespread astonishment.
