Sources in the defense establishment claim that Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich is delaying the appointment of former MK Yuval Steinitz as chairman of the Rafael defense company.
This, in response to the demolition of the outpost in Judea and Samaria last Friday.
The Ministry of Defense refused to comment and referred to the office of Defense Minister Yoav Galant, who refused to comment on the issue at this stage.
The environment of the Minister of Finance stated that "Steinitz's appointment will be examined like the other appointments under the Companies Authority".
In doing so, his associates made it clear that the minister would not necessarily accept the actual appointment of Steinitz.
Last Friday, the administration's forces with the help of a civilian contractor demolished an illegal outpost in memory of Rabbi Druckman, but Smotrich, who also serves as second minister in the Ministry of Defense, protested its demolition within less than 24 hours from the moment it was built on the ground.
He preferred litigation between the parties before the demolition, while the commander of the Central Command, General Yehuda Fox, saw the event as a potential for disturbances on the part of the Palestinians and preferred to order the demolition of the illegal outpost.
Gallant approved and backed the move, and then Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu backed the Defense Minister and the IDF, and on the other hand the reactions from Smotrich and National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gabir were harsh.

Security officials said that it was only a matter of time before Smotrich responded to the demolition of the outpost, because the bone of contention between him and Galant is over the powers of the Ministry of Defense, in particular over the coordination of government operations in the territories and the civil administration.
Sources in the security system emphasized that the decision to destroy the outpost was due to a security need, and that there was no legal civil process here such as expanding a settlement or establishing traffic routes.
The sources added that there are quite a few disputes between the parties.
According to estimates, they will soon be required to coordinate positions regarding the policy in the territories, appointments in the civil administration and the coordination of government operations in the territories, and tactical operations in the territory such as the establishment of axes, expansions of settlements and new settlements.
If the parties do not compromise by then, the relationship may reach an "explosion".
