The Alpha Generation includes all those
born since 2010
and is described by its main characteristic: being
100% digital
and permanently connected.
In general, they are the children of Millennials and Generation X. Their way of knowing the world is through technology: cell phones, tablets, and computers are a natural part of their environment.
According to a 2021 report by Infobip in association with British data analytics firm Yougov, 61% of children aged 6-11 have their own
tablet
, 49% their own
smartphone
and
66% of Generation Alpha regularly uses a tablet since he was 5 years old.
From the same work (carried out among 740 British boys and girls of the mentioned generation) it can be deduced that 46% of them have active accounts on social networks, despite the age restrictions imposed by them.
Meanwhile, 33% have WhatsApp and 73% of 11-year-olds are already very familiar with this messaging service.
