777 reports dealt with the addiction of minors - a slight increase from 2020, when the number of reports on this subject was 757. About 1,012 reports were about youth involved in crimes - a sharp increase of 91% from 2020, when only 530 such cases were reported.
According to the estimates of the professionals, the source of the sharp increase is the low number of reports in 2020, which resulted from the closures and the prolonged stay inside the houses.
On the other hand, there was a 4% decrease in reports of suicidal statements or suicidal attempts.
The report shows that there was a 6% increase in the number of reports received on suspicion that an offense had been committed against minors in which the perpetrator is within the family: from 28,439 cases in 2020 to 30,348 cases in 2021. There was also a 2.5% increase in the number of reports of suspected abuse between Brothers - from 1,889 cases in 2020 to 1,938 cases in 2021. Complaints about sexual abuse of minors are also on the rise: 5,866 reports in 2021 were about sexual abuse of minors, a 6.5% increase compared to 2020 when 5,491 reports were received.
