The Bolivian government recently hired an "animal psychic" to find a cat that went missing after a flight on the country's state-owned airline.
Andrea Itura flew about a month ago with the airline together with her cat, Tito, from Tarja to Santa Cruz.
Itura asked the airline to allow the cat to fly with her, claiming that it was a therapy animal, but she was told that the cat must fly in the luggage compartment of the plane.
However, when Itura landed, the cat was nowhere to be found.
An extensive search operation has been launched.

A few days later, Bolivia's Minister of Public Works, Edgar Montano, announced an extensive state-led search effort for the cat.
The fire and aviation authorities in the country were mobilized for the effort.
Also, at a press conference held by the minister, he asked to scatter cans of tuna and water in the area of the airport, after learning that the cat was known for his love of tuna.
However, the newest addition to the search effort is a "cat psychic," or as the job is professionally called, a "cross-species communicator."
"Using her techniques, the medium can communicate with Tito to find out where he is. If he is afraid or hidden, or if something more serious has happened," Deputy Minister Jorge Silva told reporters, "we are using all our resources to find Tito."
Now, many residents criticize the government's handling of the case and accuse it of wasting public money in the search for the cat.
