Australian writer Caitlin Johnston confirmed that the United States bears responsibility for the escalation and constant confrontation with Russia through the method of hypocrisy it adopts, as it challenges Moscow and expands its reckless involvement in Ukraine, while Ziva claims before the entire world that it is the voice of reason and logic and that everyone should follow it.
Johnston indicated that the United States plays the role of defender of freedoms before the world, while revealing its fierce and frightening colonial face before Russia, and the recent reports about its willingness to target the Russian Crimea under the pretext of recent support for Ukrainian forces is only an example of this brutal face.
Johnston explained that such moves reveal the United States' insistence on arousing Russia's wrath, ignoring the dangers of a nuclear war that will not remain or leave, noting that the Americans or Europeans who support Washington's hostile policies against Moscow do not realize the seriousness of what is happening as a result of the American escalation and do not know its dimensions and gravity.
The writer criticized the duplicity applied by the United States and its allies in their pursuit of foreign policies, as they invoke the flimsy argument about defending their security to launch military campaigns against other countries far from their lands, and cannot pose any threat to them, but in return they spread lies and false allegations about Russia's intention to attack on its neighbors.
Johnston ridiculed the duality that characterizes the policies of Washington and the West, through which it legitimizes its interference in the affairs of other countries under false slogans about freedoms and liberalism, as it prohibits those who do not revolve in the orbit of its policies from any movement, even if it is legitimate.
On the current American role in Ukraine and the promotion of false narratives by the American media, Johnston said: For many years, the American and Western media had no problem recognizing that Ukraine was suffering from the problem of the spread of Nazi ideas and trends, and it was always called a battalion. Azov under its actual name, which is neo-Nazis, but that all changed last year and the situation turned into a fierce propaganda war promoting hostility and confrontation against Russia.
Major media platforms such as Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram no longer (as Johnston has shown) classify the Nazi Azov Brigade as a dangerous organization as they once did, though nothing of the truth has changed and the Azovists remain on the same ideology.
Johnston concluded by referring to what is happening, saying: There are no propaganda or promotional campaigns that can magically transform the Azov Battalion of neo-Nazis into moderate fighters. The content of things from the inside does not change just because some try to change the cover surrounding it from the outside.
