Because her name is the same as the main character in the Fitzek novel: the ZDF author receives confused inquiries

Nomen est omen, so they say. A German insurance broker was probably not entirely aware that a journalist at ZDF and a character in a novel by Sebastian Fitzek share nothing apart from their name.

Nomen est omen, so they say.

A German insurance broker was probably not entirely aware that a journalist at ZDF and a character in a novel by Sebastian Fitzek share nothing apart from their name.

Cologne - first name, last name - this information should be found in the identity card of all citizens.

Although some people are only known by a different name, one thing is certain: Artists like Nena, Clueso or Sido can also be found in bourgeois life under the above scheme.

For example, the names of those named are Gabriele Susanne Kerner, Thomas Hübner and Paul Würdig.

Choosing a name is often a pain: A lot can go wrong when making a decision

On the other hand, everyone has known another German since 1978, although there is a lack of a real correlate here: Max Mustermann is a blueprint for various forms and applications, albeit completely fictitious.

However, it cannot be ruled out that some people have actually had this name since birth - one can imagine the consequences this has in their everyday lives.

Anyone who is in the situation of having to choose a name for their offspring will usually think twice before making a decision.

As the list of the most unpopular baby names 2022 proves, there are a few things to consider when choosing if you don't want to do your child a disservice.

But what if you enter a name in the birth certificate that was completely "unencumbered" at the time and this name only later gained a dubious reputation through other events?

Confusion alarm at Hanna Herbst: Absurd message reached ZDF-Magazine-Royale journalist

That's how Hanna Herbst feels.

Look familiar?

Then it is quite possible that you either like to look at the ZDF Magazin Royale or have an issue of "Mimik" on your bookshelf.

The latter is a 2022 published psychological thriller penned by Sebastian Fitzek.

The author has made a name for himself in the genre with several bestsellers, and last year his work was the second best-selling book on Amazon Germany.

In his most recent work, Hanna Herbst is the central figure in a murder hunt.

As a mimic resonance expert, she can read other people's faces, but in Fitzek's story she has to track down her own abysses.

To be called Hanna Herbst in real life would be a coincidence that could produce amusing and abstruse anecdotes.

And that's exactly how it is for journalist Hanna Herbst: Herbst, who is the head of the ZDF Magazin Royale department, recently received a confused message that she published on Twitter.

😭😭😭 sebastian fitzek i'll stretch out your ears 😭😭😭 https://t.co/2Vt1jOVzpx pic.twitter.com/vRAIJPVzvW

— Hanna Herbst (@HHumorlos) January 25, 2023

In all seriousness, Herbst was asked if she could "give an audience of around 200 executives from Germany's largest insurance broker an insight into [her] work as a mimic resonance trainer".

The journalist did not reveal exactly which company was behind the message – nor is it known which "Mimik" reader had the abstruse idea.

Herbst, who for fun threatens to announce various books online, the protagonist of which is said to be Sebastian Fitzek, confidently countered the request, saying that instead she had "offered a lecture on source criticism", but she was "not interested".
