Former British Health Secretary Matt Hancock has been insulted and attacked on the London Underground by a man who is reportedly a coronavirus denier.
Videos are circulating on social networks that show the attack – filmed by the perpetrator himself. It shows how an employee of the Hancock transport company jumps to the side, but is unable to hold the aggressive man back.
And how the perpetrator insulted the ex-minister, among other things, as a "murdering bastard".
Apparently the perpetrator also pushed the ex-minister, Hancock says in one of the videos »don't push me«.
The ex-minister was not injured in the incident.
As British media reports, citing the authorities, the police arrested the 61-year-old perpetrator.
Hancock was in office for much of the pandemic, ultimately resigning for breaking self-imposed social distancing rules.
Hancock's spokesman said the politician rarely witnessed such behavior.
It is important to "stop the unfounded misinformation that causes so much damage".
Alleged perpetrator of well-known conspiracy teller
The newspaper "Daily Mail" wrote that the perpetrator was a known spreader of corona conspiracy myths.
He has already harassed former Health Secretary Sajid Javid and government medical advisers Chris Whitty and Jonathan Van-Tam about their role in fighting the pandemic.
Most recently, Hancock took part in the British version of the jungle camp.
The Conservatives in the British House of Commons then excluded Hancock from the group.
In the jungle, the ex-minister apologized after another candidate said she had to sit alone at her aunt's funeral and wasn't allowed to hug anyone.
"What I'm really looking for is some forgiveness," he said.
