The United Kingdom recently announced a death. A Hong Kong man committed suicide after immigrating to the United Kingdom because he was unable to cope with the high living expenses and was suspected of suffering from mental illness.

The British "Daily Mirror" reported that the name of the deceased was Yee-King Ho, 27 years old.

She immigrated to live in the UK in April 2022 and was confirmed dead on November 3.

The coroner confirmed the news of her suicide on January 23, 2023, and her painful experience was also made public on the same day.

Yee-King Ho graduated from a university in Hong Kong in 2017 and completed a master's degree in Geneva in 2019. After returning to Hong Kong, he worked as an international relief service officer at the Hong Kong Red Cross.

In April 2022, he went to live in the UK on a British National Overseas Visa and worked in a local charity.

She moved to Richmond and rented a low-rent apartment with shared toilets for £900 a month.

Like all young people living in London, she faces low wages and finds it difficult to pay for board and lodging.

After her death, her family found out from her computer that her sister was facing difficulties in life: because of insufficient wages, she could only cut down on food and clothing; the poor living environment and unhygienic toilets further increased the pressure of her life, and she was very depressed. .

When she committed suicide in November, she had an appointment to see a therapist.

The statement cited by the coroner said she told her family in September that she feared her income would not support her in the UK and that she would lose her income if she was fired due to stress affecting her work performance.
