Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich are expected to respond this evening (Wednesday) to the criticism leveled in recent days on the legal reform by the Governor of the Bank of Israel, senior economists and high-tech employees.
Inclusion Minister Nir Barkat and Foreign Minister Eli Cohen will also participate in the press conference.
The Prime Minister and the Minister of Finance are expected to oppose the criticism and respond to the concerns expressed regarding the legal changes planned to be passed in the Knesset in the coming months.
Yesterday, high-tech workers demonstrated against the reform and change of governance in Israel and stopped work for an hour.
Bank of Israel Governor Amir Yaron, who returned from a conference in Davos, requested an urgent meeting with the Prime Minister, in which he raised the concerns of investors regarding the reform and warned of its consequences for Israel's economy.
They will respond to the audit.

Today, hundreds of economists published a joint letter, in which they warn of serious damage to the Israeli economy due to the legal reform.
The signatories of the letter include Nobel Prize winner in economics Prof. Daniel Kahneman, former chairman of the National Economic Council Prof. Eugene Kandel, Prof. Manuel Trachtenberg, Prof. Omer Moab, who advised the former Minister of Finance Yuval Steinitz, Director General of the Ministry of Finance Former Prof. Avi Ben-Best and other senior officials.
"The existence of a lot of political power in the hands of the ruling group without strong checks and balances could lead the country to economic backwardness," they wrote.
The economists warned against the reduction of investments in Israeli high-tech, which is a significant engine for the economy, the transfer of international development centers from Israel due to the fear of harming human rights, and also present a fear of a "brain drain" from Israel, which would damage the resilience of the Israeli economy.
