Iraqi forces thwarted a terrorist plot to target the Nineveh Court of Appeal, with three suicide bombers, and they were arrested.
Al-Sumaria News website quoted the Iraqi Ministry of the Interior as saying in a statement today: “The security forces, after following up the activities of terrorist elements throughout Iraq, were able to monitor indicators that, after analyzing them, revealed the existence of terrorist intentions to carry out a terrorist operation, to target the Nineveh Appeal Court by gangs ( ISIS) terrorist, by three suicide bombers.
The statement added: Following this information, the terrorist elements were monitored and their movements and whereabouts were monitored, until three of them were arrested with their weapons and equipment before entering the court, and the terrorist plot was thwarted with high professionalism.
Earlier today, an Iraqi policeman was killed and another was injured in a terrorist attack targeting their patrol west of the capital, Baghdad.
