The thirty firefighters mobilized had succeeded in extinguishing the fire which broke out, late Tuesday afternoon, in a farmhouse located in the place called La Tuilerie in the town of Machecoul-Saint-Même ( Loire-Atlantique) which is about forty kilometers south of Nantes.
It was while inspecting the rubble of the house that the emergency services made a gruesome discovery.

Upstairs, they found the
"body of an unidentified victim"
, indicates the departmental operational center for fire and rescue (Codis).
According to the first known elements, it would be a man who was alone on the scene at the time of the tragedy.
An investigation is underway.
In particular, it mobilizes fire experts and technicians from the gendarmerie.
This is not the first fatal fire since the beginning of the year in Loire-Atlantique.
On January 8, a man in his forties died in the fire of his caravan, installed on isolated land in the seaside resort of La Baule.
