After a long wait, winter has finally arrived in the district.

Winter sports enthusiasts don't need to be asked twice.

Where cross-country skiers get their money's worth?

An overview.

Jachenau

In the Jachenau was tracked on Sunday, as Felix Kellner, manager of the community, announced on request.

As reported, there is no longer a cross-country ski trail right behind the Leger district of Lenggries this season.

The parking lot there can no longer be used either.

According to Kellner, there are currently tracks from elementary school to Letten.

“Only skating is possible here.

There is currently not enough snow for the classic trail.” The fee for maintaining the trails in Jachenau is four euros again this year.

What is new is that the amount must now be thrown into a machine.

Bad Tölz

The Reutberg and Ellbach trails are not yet groomed.

Benediktbeuern

In Benediktbeuern, the five-kilometre-long trail is groomed.

The popular section in Häusern/Gschwendt is floodlit from Monday to Friday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., according to the municipality's website.

rear crack

The 30-kilometre Hinterriss-Eng trail has also been in operation since Sunday.

"But only the classic cross-country trail," explains Florian Reindl from Gasthof Post in Hinterriß.

"The demand is there, it's already busy," he says.

2.50 euros must be paid for use at the drop-in box after the toll station.

Lenggries

The Lenggries-Schlegldorf (5 km), Lenggries-Wegscheid (3.5 km) and Wegscheid-Schwarzenbachtal (7 km) trails are open in Lenggries.

In addition, the two-kilometre-long night trail is groomed at the old valley station.

"The classic cross-country trails are only partially passable," explains Andrea Fischhaber from the tourist information to our newspaper.

“There is still too little snow for that.” But the demand is already there.

The trail maintenance fee in Lenggries costs four euros.

Bad Heilbrunn

A little more snow would also be good for the cross-country ski run in Bad Heilbrunn.

There, the twelve-kilometer-long trail is groomed and open, says Rosi Rieker from the tourist information office, "but with restrictions," she emphasizes.

"Snow is badly needed.

The trail manager said on Sunday that the grass was sticking out in some places.”

Geretsried

Nothing stands in the way of cross-country skiing in Geretsried.

There is a network of three different cross-country ski trails in cooperation with the municipality of Königsdorf, as the city writes on its website.

Winter sports enthusiasts can use two cross-country trails from the town hall via the Böhmwiese south to the Bibisee (14 kilometers).

From there, an additional round (5 kilometers) can be added to the Königsdorfer glider airfield.

Gaissach

In Gaißach is also already tracked, according to the town hall.

There, the seven kilometer long trail between Mühl and Untersteinbach is open.

Kochel am See

Nothing stands in the way of winter fun in Kochel either.

The eight-kilometer circuit can be started either at the Ötzschlössl in Pessenbach or in Kochel, as stated on the "Tölzer Land" website.

Walchensee

According to the "Tölzer Land Tourismus" website, the simple circuit in the village is closed due to a lack of snow.
