The Filipino man who accompanied the gunman was arrested on suspicion of "obstructing official work" and "assaulting the police", and was later taken back to the scene for investigation.

The two injured police officers were sprained and were not seriously injured. After on-the-spot treatment, they were sent to the hospital by helicopter at 1:00 a.m. on the fourth day of the Lunar New Year (25th). The police officer was admitted to the hospital in a wheelchair.
