Acting Governor of the Donetsk People's Republic Denis Pushilin confirmed that Russian combat units are advancing towards the city of Artemovsk to liberate it.
“The military units, in particular the Russian Wagner Group, are moving towards Artemovsk, while fighting continues in all the surrounding areas and outskirts of the city, which was recently occupied by the enemy,” Novosti news agency quoted Pushilin as saying to reporters today.
The city of Artemovsk is located north of the city of Gorlovka in the part controlled by the Ukrainian forces, and it is an important transportation and supply center for those forces in the Donbass.
