Today, the Homs branch of the Vanguards of the Baath Organization honored 26 distinguished pioneers at the country level in various fields and specialties, during their annual conference, which was held today at the Abdul Hamid Al-Zahrawi Theater.
The students stressed the need to pay attention to informatics, to re-print the Al-Talee' magazine, and to replace old and damaged textbooks with new books.
The secretary of the Homs branch of the Baath Vanguards, Khaled Janiyat, explained in a statement to SANA that the branch’s annual council is the result of a full year’s work, which included a presentation of the branch’s events and activities in all fields, in addition to examining the important demands of the vanguards in the presence of those concerned.
In her turn, the head of the theater, music and culture office in the branch, Faten Al-Mahmoud, praised the efforts made by the organization in the field of caring for the young generation, developing its talents and educating it in all fields.
The Council presented a set of proposals and recommendations, the most important of which is the investment of the organization's facilities, and the support of applied activities schools with specialized cadres, necessary equipment, and others.
In a statement to SANA reporter, the child Tony Khalil, the national pioneer in the field of sports commentary, explained that the honor came as a result of his tiredness and effort during a whole year.
In turn, the child Taim Hamdan, a pioneer in the field of informatics at the country level, indicated that honoring is considered an encouragement to continue facing these challenges.
The council was attended by the Secretary of the Homs branch of the Arab Socialist Baath Party, Omar Houria.
