The Zacatecas Attorney General's Office confirmed this Tuesday that the fourth body found in "skeletal reduction" belongs to José Melesio Gutiérrez, the 36-year-old man who had come to spend Christmas in Colotlán with his fiancée, Daniela Márquez.
The two of them, along with Irma Paola Vargas and Viviana Márquez, disappeared on December 25 in Víboras, Zacatecas, when they were returning home after spending the afternoon in Jerez de García Salinas.
The charred bones of their bodies were found last Thursday at a ranch near the El Cuidado municipality, which is accessed from Víboras.
The inhabitants of the region report that 17 people disappeared in December, a figure they had never experienced before.
