Floods in Malaysia have displaced thousands of people in three states of the country.
Xinhua quoted data provided by the Malaysian Ministry of Social Welfare as saying: The floods caused the displacement of more than five thousand people, with Johor state being the most affected with more than 4,700 people displaced, followed by North Borneo and Pahang states.
The data indicated that the situation in Johor remains difficult, as the water level of four rivers has reached the danger level and continues its upward trend.
Malaysia is still facing the northeast monsoon, which usually lasts from November to March, and has seen multiple floods last year.
