Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that the statements of German Foreign Minister Analina Birbock and former chancellor Angela Merkel indicate that the West is planning a war against Russia.
Russia Today channel quoted Zakharova as saying on her Telegram channel: “If we add to what Merkel revealed that they were strengthening Ukraine and did not depend on the Minsk agreements, then we are talking about a pre-planned war against Russia, and do not say later that you did not listen to us.”
Zakharova quoted Berbock’s statements at the OSCE meeting, in which she says: “If we continue the finger-pointing game, Russia and Putin will win.. That is why I do not address your countries and other countries with the question why you did not deliver self-propelled howitzers even though the Netherlands And Germany has handed it in.. This will not lead anywhere.. It will only end with the division of Europe//.
Earlier, former German Chancellor Angela Merkel said in an interview with the weekly newspaper "Die Zeit": that the mediation efforts made by Germany and France in the so-called Minsk formula aim to give Ukraine time to become stronger... as Russian President Vladimir Putin described these statements as unexpected. And disappointing.
