Yanis Marshall was the guest of “Touche pas à mon poste” this Thursday, January 26, to discuss his career, from his childhood to his success as a professional dancer.
Known to the general public thanks to the program "Star Academy", the choreographer was not at his first performance.

... The man known for performing in high heels has multiplied successful productions, even dancing for a Celine Dion clip or coaching Mariah Carey.
And despite all these accomplishments, the place of dance teacher of the French TV hook was not assured to him.
“I made a casting, one did not call me by giving me the job”
, he affirms.

For this 2022 edition of the "Star Academy", Yanis Marshall was on the teachers' bench alongside Adeline Toniutti, the singing teacher, Pierre de Brauer, the theater teacher, Laure Balon, the scenic expression teacher and Joël Bouraïma, sports teacher.
"You still largely dominated the other coaches
," said Gilles Verdez, one of the columnists of "Touche pas à mon poste", addressing the choreographer.
This compliment actually hid a less pleasant question:
“Have there been any little jealousies from your colleagues?”
, asks the columnist without filter.
“I was already too far from the start”
And Yanis Marshall's first reaction is... an embarrassed chuckle.
“No”
, he launches without much conviction to then develop:
“jealousy no, because already we are all very different.
But to be very honest, and I'm going to be really honest.
I don't think there was even a need to try to make a little competition with me, I was already too far from the start and too sure of myself.
So I think they calmed down from the start and said to themselves
, 'she, she's crazy'
”

Cyril Hanouna then intervenes by commenting on this confession with second degree.

Understanding that he may have been too frank, Yanis Marshall tries to justify himself and take up his remarks.
"Wait, there was no jealousy thing because from the start if you want I opened with a show while the others didn't.
I was presented with a little plus uh... so there was no competition, well it was a bit lost from the start.
