Congresswoman Rashida Talib waved the Palestinian flag in her office in the United States Capitol building, the controversial lawmaker revealed today (Thursday) in a tweet on the social network Twitter.

"The apartheid government may forbid the Palestinians from flying their flag, but we can do so proudly in my office. I am a proud Palestinian American and I want the Palestinian people to know that not all Americans support the apartheid regime. You cannot erase our existence," the congresswoman wrote in a tweet.

Palestinians may be banned from flying their flag under an apartheid government, but we can still proudly do it at my office.

I'm proud to be a Palestinian American and I want the Palestinian people to know that not all Americans support apartheid.

No one can erase our existence.

Talib added a photo of herself standing near the entrance to her office with the flag of the United States, the flag of the seal of the House of Representatives and the flag of Palestine next to her.

Critical netizens tagged the Anti-Defamation League and the Democratic Party in a tweet, demanding that they act against the radical legislator.

Talib is the daughter of Palestinian speakers from the West Bank who was born in the city of Detriot in the state of Illinois.

She was elected to the House of Representatives of the Congress in 2019 and since then caused several storms due to anti-Israeli statements and actions she took.

A member of the "squad" or "the unit", Talib belongs to a group of radical female lawmakers in the Democratic Party, including Ilhan Omar and Alexandria Oxio-Cortez.

In May, the members of the group asked to put to a vote a law for the House of Representatives to recognize the Palestinian Nakba.

Talib attacked her colleagues in the House of Representatives for their support of the Jewish state: "The Palestinians are not going anywhere, no matter how much money you keep sending to the Israeli apartheid government," she said.

Taleb even provided a far-fetched description of the recent riots of thousands of Palestinians on the Temple Mount: "Israel is conducting an ongoing campaign of harassment and terror against believers who kneel and pray, while celebrating their holidays in one of their holiest places. Al-Aqsa is surrounded by violence and tear gas while people are praying." claim.
