The prosecutor's office today (Thursday) filed an indictment against a 24-year-old man from Petach Tikva who murdered his neighbor and set fire to his body and his apartment.

In addition, a request was submitted to extend his detention until the end of the legal proceedings.

The events began during the year 2021, when Agassi asked his own to borrow money from him, and his own refused.

Following the extortion, and after he refused to repay the loan, Shalev filed a police complaint against him.

Following this, Agassi decided to take revenge on him, kill him and set fire to his apartment, and as a first step he hid a fuel tank under his apartment.

According to the indictment, in December Agassi decided to implement the plan.

He equipped himself with a knife, gloves and a scooter and drove to his apartment.

Then, for four hours, Agassi stabbed Shalo in all parts of his body while teasing and abusing him, while Shalo lay on the floor begging him to stop.

The pleas helped him and he died on the spot.

So, according to the indictment, Agassi went to his relatives' house next to Shalu's apartment, took cleaning supplies and a sheet, and returned to his neighbor's apartment.

He wrapped his body, lowered it to the entrance of the building, and tried unsuccessfully to lift it onto the scooter to make his body disappear.

Later, Agassi went up to the apartment with the fuel he had hidden, poured it and set the apartment on fire.

After that, he poured gasoline on Shalu's body, set it on fire and fled the scene.

Agassi parked the scooter in a place far from his house, covered it to prevent its discovery, and threw away a bag with items he used in the murder.
