Shock at the beginning of the working day for the around 200 employees of the patent office in the south of Munich.
A bomb threat was received there on Thursday.
The bomb attack was sent by e-mail to the office building of the German Patent and Trademark Office at Cincinnatistrasse 64 (Fasangarten).
All employees had to leave the premises immediately.
About an hour and a half later, the alarmed police were able to give the all-clear.
The Presidium left open exactly when the bomb threat was sent to the authorities.
Just like the wording of the electronic letter.
Only so much: "We were alarmed at 9 a.m.," explains police spokesman Gordon Winkel.
That is: at this time the worrying message was read.
“The porter then triggered the fire alarm.” This was the quickest way for the 200 employees to get out of the building.
The police were on site with six patrols.
Also present: a trained explosives detection dog.
The affected buildings – the Federal Patent Court is also located at Cincinnatistrasse 64 – were searched with him.
“We take such threats very seriously,” emphasizes Winkel.
Fortunately, however, it turned out that no explosives were installed there or a bomb was dropped.
At 10.
