Elements of the Directorate of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection in Homs seized a truck at the entrance to the industrial city in Hasya, loaded with 300 bags of flour.
Engineer Rami Al-Youssef, Director of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection in Homs, stated that the seized flour was produced by one of the private mills in Aleppo that did not contract to produce ration flour, and was destined for a biscuit production factory inside the industrial city.
He pointed out that upon detection and conduct of the necessary analyzes, it was found that the flour was rationary, as a judicial seizure was organized in violation of theft and embezzlement of a substance subsidized by the state, disposing of it for other than the purpose intended for it, confiscating the entire quantity and handing it over to the Syrian Grain Branch in Homs, and fining the violators an amount of 111.375 million. Syrian pounds, and take the necessary legal measures.
In the same context, Al-Youssef indicated that consumer protection patrols seized a facility in the industrial city with violations of producing and offering children's appetizers bearing an incomplete identification card, and issuing irregular invoices for their sales of children's appetizers.
The Directorate also organized, according to Al-Youssef, 50 catering controls, in violation of not announcing prices for basic materials and commodities, and selling at an extra price, as the total value of the fine amounted to 7 million pounds.
