The Minister of Communications, Shlomo Karai, today (Thursday) withdrew Elad Malka's candidacy for Director General of the Ministry of Communications, due to fear that he would not pass the nominations committee.
At this stage, Karai will appoint Malka to the position of deputy general manager, when later he designates him the position of general manager.
As you may remember, these days there is a commotion surrounding Minister Karai's intentions to significantly cut the broadcasting corporation's budget, which his employees claim may lead to its closure.
