Mallorca/Murwillumbah – Hard to believe, but it is not the celebrities in the Australian bush who are responsible for what is probably the biggest jungle camp drama this year, but rather their relatives in the outside world.

Iris Klein (55), whose son-in-law Lucas Cordalis (55) is fighting for victory in the 16th IBES season, spoke up on social media with a serious allegation: Her husband Peter (63) is said to have cheated while he is in Australia accompanying Lucas.

Iris and Peter Klein have been married for more than 15 years, but since the trained painter traveled to Australia's Gold Coast, things have gone awry for the two of them.

Iris accuses her husband of having an affair with Yvonne Woelke (41), who, like Peter, also lives in the Hotel Versace as a jungle camp assistant to Djamila Rowe (55).

Both have denied the allegations and even Iris' daughter Daniela Katzenberger (36) commented on the scandal, but the matter does not seem to be over for a long time.

Julian FM Stoeckel (35), who was a jungle camp candidate himself in 2014, seems to have had enough of the constant back and forth between the little ones and makes a very clear announcement on Facebook.

"This story overshadows this great season of IBES and nobody deserves that," the TV star rants.

Is the "jungle camp" really filmed in the jungle?

Since the first jungle camp episode flickered across the screens on January 9, 2004, the broadcaster has often been accused of not filming the format in a real jungle.

Although it does appear on television that the belligerent celebrities are sitting in the shade of palm trees, dozens of kilometers from civilization, it's not quite that extreme.

Because "I'm a Celebrity" is filmed on a farm near the town of Murwillumbah, which is in the Australian region of New South Wales.

The international versions of the show, such as the British "I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!", also use the site.

So it's not the deepest jungle, but neither is a TV set with artificial trees.
