It's been months since the American social media giant Meta was challenged by users denouncing accounts, especially on Instagram, dangerous.

This Thursday, he wanted to announce that he had reacted.

“The rules of our platforms are clear and prohibit fraudulent and misleading content intended to mislead our users.

We have deleted the Instagram account in question, as well as a series of others, for violating these rules, ”wrote, on Twitter, the account of Meta France.

He then responds to the tweet from the Collectif d'Aide aux Victimes d'Influenceurs who had questioned him.

Thus, if Meta assures the Parisian that its "teams have withdrawn a series of accounts", it remains difficult to know how many were affected.

At least three Instagram pages of influencers Marc and Nadé Blata as well as "Laurent billionaire" have reportedly been deleted.

“We want our community to have positive and safe experiences on our apps, and have clear rules against people who try to use our services to abuse others.

We take strong measures and dedicate significant resources to identify and remove such content and those who post it.

Damage estimated at 6.3 million euros

The government plans to create a legal status for influencers and prohibit them from promoting certain products (medicines, financial investments, etc.).

The text will be examined by the Assembly by the end of March.
