NDR reporter Sascha Henn died in a car accident on the A7 near Hamburg on Monday.
Apparently his friend and TV presenter Hinnerk Baumgarten was listening.

On the A7 near Hamburg, near Marmstorf heading north, there was a traffic jam around 4:30 p.m. because a car burned in the Elbe tunnel.
The vehicles on the route slowed down, including a semitrailer.
Meanwhile, a Smart was driving behind him in the right lane, according to the Hamburg police in a press release.
"For reasons that have not yet been clarified," the small car finally drove onto the semi-trailer unbraked.

The driver of the Smart was probably not buckled, the press release continues.
Bavaria's Agriculture Minister Kaniber says the seat belt saved her life in a car accident.
The driver of the small car suffered life-threatening injuries as a result of the impact.
“Despite the immediate resuscitation measures” he died on the spot.
The accident recording and clean-up work led to a total closure of the A7, which lasted until around 8:30 p.m.

Tragically, one of his friends apparently had to listen to the NRD reporter's struggle for life.
"When I called you yesterday at 4:38 p.m., a first responder answered.
You are losing your life right now,” writes Hinnerk Baumgarten on Instagram.
He also posts a picture of Sascha Henn in the car.
The TV star may still be remembered for a program in which Baumgarten moderated with a black eye.

, Baumgarten describes that the man on the phone told him that it didn't look good.
"I heard sirens in the background, a babble of voices.
The first responder told me the Smart ran into a truck with no brakes, witnesses tried to get it out of the car but it was stuck and wedged.
They couldn't get the door open," said the moderator.
Incidentally, Baumgarten also works for the NDR, which has just announced the end of the talk show "Anne Will".

According to the first aider, Henn didn't look badly injured on the outside and they tried to resuscitate him on the spot - without success.

The NDR reporter was "a wonderful person, a real gentleman".
The moderator also expresses his sadness on Instagram and writes: "You would say 'adieu'.
I say it with a deeply sad heart.”
Henn was best known for his NRD reporting on nobility and celebrities.
But the 52-year-old was also involved in some reports.
He covered 2,500 kilometers in a rusty vintage car that Baumgarten said he loved to report on the Le Mans Classic motorsport event.
Meanwhile, a traffic accident in Bavaria also caused a stir - a coach with 60 school children crashed on the A3.
