According to the public prosecutor, the alleged perpetrator of the deadly knife attack on a train in Brokstedt was not considered an intensive offender.
The 33-year-old had three previous convictions, said Itzehoe's chief public prosecutor, Carsten Ohlrogge, on Thursday in Kiel.
He had previously reported in a special session of the interior committee that the man had been convicted of, among other things, dangerous bodily harm.
