First event to check off for your weekend in Rennes, Magnétique”, such is the title of the exhibition to be seen at the Champs libre (until March 5, 2023).

This innovative cultural space designed by Christian de Portzamparc – to whom we owe the Cité de la Musique in Paris – was created in place of the old bus station in 2006. Vast glass and steel structure from which emerges the dome of the planetarium, this place brings together the Museum of Brittany, the library of Rennes Métropole and the Espace des sciences.

And it is in the latter that we can discover “Magnétique”.

Wireless chargers, fans and even bicycle lights, many everyday applications use the principles of magnetism without our realizing it.

And that is precisely the purpose of this exhibition: to make visitors of all ages aware that magnetism is everywhere.

For photography enthusiasts, the exhibition "Les Hautes Solitudes", by Nolwenn Brod, is to be seen, upstairs...
