Forecasts announce snow for Bavaria again.

According to experts, there should be "perfect tobogganing weather".

When and where the onset of winter can be expected in the next few days.

Munich – Bayern want snow.

At least those who like cross-country skiing, tobogganing or downhill skiing.

Already last weekend numerous regions were able to enjoy winter weather – including lots of snow.

The forecasts of the last few days indicated that it will look similar this weekend.

Meteorologist Kathy Schrey from

wetter.net

announced a "masked cold front" that should already provide snow and "perfect tobogganing weather" on Thursday.

But where is the promised snowfall?

Snow in Bavaria: when and where the white flakes create a winter wonderland

While the experts agreed a few days ago that it will snow in parts of Bavaria from Thursday (January 26), the situation has now changed minimally.

The DWD announces for Thursday:

“Today light snowfall at times and in places, but mostly no significant increase in fresh snow, only on the eastern low mountain ranges locally one to two centimeters of fresh snow including snow until the evening.

One to three centimeters of fresh snow in some areas on Friday night.”

There could be more at the weekend, but not much.

If you compare different snow radars, such as those on

precipitationradar.de

or on

Bergfex.de

, one thing seems clear.

A snow bomb will not reach Bavaria this time, at least not at the weekend.

On Friday afternoon, from 1 p.m., some snow will fall in the Bavarian Alps and the foothills of the Alps.

Lower Bavaria could also get a lot.

There will also be a few snowfalls on Saturday night.

However, it will be quiet on Saturday and Sunday.

Contrary to what was predicted a few days ago.

On Saturday, skiers in the Alps could still have a few snowflakes in front of their faces, on Sunday nothing will fall from the sky.

Snow bomb and storm hit Bavaria on Monday: "We haven't had that for a long time"

After hardly any snow will fall at the weekend, a veritable snow bomb is imminent on Monday.

A look at the map of the precipitation radar shows: It is supposed to snow all over Bavaria.

And almost the entire day.

A layer of fresh snow of several centimeters can therefore be assumed.

Bergfex.de even

predicts 15 to 20 centimeters of fresh snow on its snow radar for the Alps.

The snowfall will continue in the same way on Tuesday.

Jan Schenk from

The Weather Channel

announces an even higher snow cover: "In the Alps we see that we will have snow depths of up to one meter next Monday.

And we haven't had that for a long time."

However, he also warns of the storms that are brewing.

On Monday, the models would show storm winds, "maybe even hurricane-force gusts."

According to Schenk, there are snowstorm conditions at higher altitudes.

"So please be careful!" In the mountains, a snowstorm cannot be ruled out.
