Young and distinguished talents in the fields of singing and playing various musical instruments. She passed the jury exams to select the members of the central orchestra of the Homs Education Directorate, which took place over two days at the Martyr Louay Al-Naqri School.

The goal of establishing the orchestra, according to musician Ammar Younes, member of the jury and conductor of the orchestra, is to improve artistic taste, attract and refine young talents, and establish an academic artistic state linked to the Directorate of Education.

The supervisor of the music department in the school theater in Homs and a member of the jury, Safaa Hadid, pointed out the importance of establishing such an orchestra in discovering the musical talents of students, explaining that the large numbers of applicants surprised the committee, as their number exceeded 90 applicants, among players of various musical instruments, from Percussion, string, brass and woodwinds, as well as choirs and singers.

Behs Al-Ali, who plays the Oud, stated that his love for this instrument and his attachment to it prompted him first to enroll in the Teachers’ Training Institute, specializing in music, to master playing the notes, and that he aspires to become a member of this orchestra, while Ghaydaq Dib, who is a player in the eighth grade, said: Oud also: My love for music and my desire to develop my capabilities and refine my experience prompted me to apply for these exams.

Raheel Suleiman, an organ player, drew attention to her dream of joining a musical group that carries a special identity and character, while Yasmine Khadour, a fourth-grade violinist, is anxiously awaiting the moment she enters the jury, to present most of what she has learned over the past years, hoping to be accepted and join the ranks of the orchestra.

Taim Al-Hassan from the eighth grade, a 6-year-old player on the riq instrument, pointed out his ambition to develop his musical skills and join a team that would help him advance his musical passion.
