In the meantime, Ashkelon Mayor Tomer Glam sent a sharp letter this morning to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Yoav Galant and Bezalel Samortich, who serves as a minister in the Ministry of Defense, among others.

Later in his letter, Glam, a member of the Likud party, delivered a kind of sting to Netanyahu: "The most important reform that should be on the agenda is a comprehensive and thorough security reform in the city of Ashkelon. This is the reform that will save lives in the next campaign, which will be, as you know, more challenging, broader and more dangerous."
