Demonstrators in Ramat Hasharon in front of Beit Ofer Gal (Niv Aharonson)
Dozens of people demonstrated this morning (Friday) in Ramat Hasharon in front of the house of Ofer Gal, who raped his sister Hila Tzur for 15 years.
The protest was held demanding that he leave his house on Ella Street in Ramat Hasharon, thus allowing Hila to live in security in her city of residence.
Hila's story was published in the program "The Source".
"We want him to leave Ramat Hasharon to another city," said Yariv Levin, Gal's neighbor who organized the protest.
"The goal is also to strengthen Hila, as well as to change the law so that there is no statute of limitations. He was saved from 27 years in prison that he was sentenced to. You did not pay your debt to society - so at least let her live. Most of the residents in the neighborhood say the same."

The investigation that was broadcast on the program "The Source" on Network 13 managed to shock an entire country.
During the program, which was broadcast in two parts, the victim Hila Tzur said that she is afraid to walk the streets of Ramat Hasharon because of the knowledge that her brother, who raped her from the age of 4 to 19, Dr. Ofer Gal, is also there. Yariv Levin, Ofer Gal's neighbor, was amazed to discover the gruesome detail His neighbor's passing - and he decided to initiate a protest in order to make him leave the city.
"I saw the article and like everyone else in the country I was shocked.
I don't get to meet Ofer in person, but I did see his wife Tami quite a few times," said Yariv to Matan Khodorov on Network 13. "I heard Hila declare in all the media that she wants to see him leave Ramat Hasharon so that she can go back to living in the settlement where she Gadla, now we who support her want to see him leave the city and let Hila live without fear."
