Snow almost everywhere in Bavaria: Winter is coming to Bavaria.

In the next few days there should be "perfect tobogganing weather" again.

It gets uncomfortable at the weekend.

Munich – At the weekend, numerous people romped around the toboggan mountains in Bavaria.

In Munich, sleds are squeezed against sleds in the Luitpoldpark and in the Olympiapark.

At dusk on Sunday there was even a serious collision between a sled driver and a pedestrian.

Although the temperatures are rising again, winter isn't over yet.

According to current forecasts, a lot of snow is expected to fall from the sky in the next few days.

Winter forecast: "Masked cold front" crosses Bavaria and brings snow

"Winter is not over yet," says Kathy Schrey from

wetter.net

in the video for the weather forecast for Tuesday (January 24).

The weather has calmed down at the moment, and will remain so on Tuesday and Wednesday.

"From Thursday, a snow front will come to us that will cross Germany once."

It brings a lot of snow with it.

Bavaria in particular is affected by the "masked cold front", as can be seen on the snow map of the weather model.

On Thursday it should therefore snow mainly in the Alps and in Upper Franconia.

The next cold front is coming on Saturday and will bring snow to all of Bavaria. Winter fans can even look forward to five to ten centimeters of fresh snow in Central and Lower Franconia.

Up to 20 centimeters could remain in Munich and the region.

It promises to be "perfect tobogganing weather" again, as Kathy Schrey summarizes the situation.

The further prospects:

calm winter weather up to and including Wednesday.

Rainfall from the north-west on Thursday night.

Then partly #rain, partly #snow with #slippery danger.

Hardly any temperature change.

Weather in Bavaria: Expert announces possible "snowstorm" for the weekend

Meteorologist Jan Schenk from

The Weather Channel

also announces plenty of snow over the weekend in his latest weather forecast.

The snow cover is increasing massively, especially in the Alps and the low mountain ranges.

“In the Alps we see that we will have snow depths of up to one meter next Monday.

And we haven't had that for a long time," explains Schenk.

However, that is anything but pleasant, because a snowstorm is looming on Sunday or Monday.

On Monday, the models would show storm winds, "maybe even hurricane-force gusts."

According to Schenk, there are snowstorm conditions at higher altitudes.

"So please be careful!"
