Munich – This news comes as a surprise: Hermann Zimmerer will no longer run the Zur Brez'n tavern on Leopoldstrasse in Munich.
Friday (January 27th) is the last day the popular restaurant will be open for the time being.
Plant manager Lisa Adolf looks back with nostalgia on the past few years: "Hermann Zimmerer had this inn for 25 years, so an era is coming to an end," she says.
"It was a wonderful team, we had great guests."

The reason for the final line: Zimmerer has decided not to extend the lease.
He wants to concentrate on his other bars - the Paulaner Brauhaus, the Wirtshaus Zum Straubinger and the Zwickl on the Viktualienmarkt - says Lisa Adolf.
The Brez'n will continue to be a classic inn.
"There's already a successor as innkeeper." She doesn't want to reveal more just yet.

The restaurant will close for renovations, and it will resume in mid-February or March.
With a different host, but still under the name "Wirtshaus Zur Brez'n".
