Just two weeks ago, a voice that seemed to come from beyond the grave stirred social media, arousing enthusiasm in some, dread in others.
This familiar voice was that of General de Gaulle during the call of June 18, 1940. Apart from this detail, we know that there is no audio or video recording of the call in question, and that the voice heard was actually the result of artificial intelligence.
How, then, to qualify this reconstitution which is not one?
Is it true or false, truth or lie?
Above all, does it not reveal the growing confusion between the true and the false, of their increasingly indistinguishable nature, as if our epistemological and ontological landmarks were bursting before us in real time?
Because if artificial intelligence can artificially create a speech that at least has the merit of having already been delivered, will it not manufacture tomorrow completely false speeches, of men...
