(ANSA) - NAPLES, JAN 27 - The issue of a boy from a Ponticelli school in Naples, Isis Archimede, on Memorial Day is causing controversy.

The argument - as reported by the Republic of Naples, which publishes the photo - was dismissed by the young man, almost 18 years old, with a single line: 'so'tutt muort abbruciat' (they are all burned to death, ed).

When the Italian teacher read the young man's comment, she showed it to the principal who sent a letter to the school teachers.

"We have to find - explained the manager, Mariarosaria Stanziano - the words to prevent that ignoble sentence, scratched on a white sheet, from going unnoticed. As educators we have the duty to welcome and relaunch".

Unfortunately, the executive points out, the younger generations "increasingly often show themselves unable to gather emotions, to get in tune with the dramas of the other, to show empathy. Alexithymia is a real pathology - she says - but little is said about it ".

In the letter one wonders: "Did that boy want to be splendid? Or irreverent? Or even the ironic jokester? Did he want to launch an open challenge to the school, to the authority of the teachers, showing himself disenchanted and disrespectful?".

The question is whether he "intended to interpret in writing the thousand caustic and unforgivable jokes that refer to crematorium ovens, bars of soap, lethal gas ...; or did he use aggressive verbal formulas equal to those violent stadium chants praising Vesuvius?" .

"Is it possible - asks the MEP Fulvio Martusciello, regional coordinator of Forza Italia in Campania - that no one feels indignation at the theme of the student of the Archimede di Ponticelli high school on the day of memory? The boy should be rejected without delay".

"It is incredible - adds Martusciello - that no municipal councilor says a word about what happened. Has the mayor perhaps lost his voice? We ask for exemplary measures. That issue - concludes the exponent of the force - is a national shame that makes us shiver".
